Alex Oubari is a designer and amateur chef. He loves human connection, movement, and the sun.
Born in one city, raised in six more. Milano, Casablanca, Beirut, Paris, Vancouver, and now Los Angeles. Movement shaped me. It taught me to adapt, to observe, to design with intuition. The approach is to make things effortless, quietly brilliant. Less, but better.
For the past eight years, I’ve designed products at some of the most forward-thinking companies: Tapcart, Postmates, Uber, and currently Rivian. Building products that slip seamlessly into daily life. I also consult for founder friends, particularly in AI, where design meets intelligence. It’s an exhilarating time to be building software, and I’m obsessed with making complex tech feel simple. Invisible, even.
When I’m not designing, I move. Every day. Running clears the mind. CrossFit pushes limits. Tennis hones precision. Skiing brings flow. Movement is my escape. Food is my joy, especially Lebanese food, the flavors of my roots. In college, I ran an underground restaurant, “Petit Gros.” A story for another time.
I live in the in-between. Between structure and spontaneity. Between pixels and people. If you’re building something worth talking about, I’d love to connect.
